The Nova Scotia Open Invitation al” (Free golf. Free? Yes, free!)

EXTENDED TO END OF SEPTEMBER 2016

“The Nova Scotia Open Invitation al” (Free golf. Free? Yes, free!)
- Not a competition, a cooperation -
Free. Yes, free and no, that’s not a typo – this is truly an Open Invitation to all golf course  members in the province of Nova Scotia and a celebration of the sport.
Holding a membership at a course shows a commitment to golf, and the Annapolis Royal Golf Course  would like to thank you for that display of dedication. The ARGC extends an ‘Open Invitation’ to all of
those people who have shown such wholehearted devotion.

There are thousands of golfers in Nova Scotia and the only time they have an opportunity to meet and interact is during a competition. And not all golfers are interested on competing. The Annapolis Royal
Golf Course offers an alternative. From now until the end of August 2016, we are calling Wednesday’s ‘The Nova Scotia Open Invitation  al”. Any golfer who is a member of any club or course in
Nova Scotia is welcome to play for free on these Wednesday’s *.
* No strings attached. Green fees only - any rentals of equipment or carts are not included. All that we ask is that you call to book a tee
time ((902) 532-2064) for any Wednesday between 7am & 3pm until the end of SEPTEMBER 2016. Proof of a 2016 membership at any Nova Scotia Golf course or club is required upon arrival.

NEW REGULATIONS for visitors to Canada 2016 march

January 15, 2016
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is launching a new requirement for most international visitors to Canada who are travelling by air.

Starting in March 2016, these travelers will require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before they are allowed to board an international flight departing for Canada. This authorization is required in addition to a passport. It is not required for road or sea travelers.

This new authorization is in-line with requirements in other international jurisdictions. The cost is $7 and the application can be completed on-line in minutes. CIC estimates as many as 96% of all applicants will receive their authorization within five minutes of completing the application.

This requirement is a significant change for some international visitors to Canada, and it’s important for visitors to know about it in advance of their trip. If you’re speaking with an international visitor planning a trip to Nova Scotia, please take time to make sure they are aware of this new requirement and know the steps to receive their authorization. Tourism Nova Scotia will also take steps to inform visitors of this change by sharing information on NovaScotia.com and via key partners.

CIC has produced a tool-kit with information on who will require an eTA, who won’t, and what the process is for getting one. Visit http://canada.ca/eta and http://www.cic.gc.ca/ftp/eta-ave-eng.asp for information.
